so how does he propose to change the tax code when the Senate is controlled by the GOP? Don't promise things you can't deliver.

Or 'Anti Harris', or anti- Beto, on one hand and pointing out that their claim that they are going to take some specific action when anyone with a brain knows they will NOT be able to do so- pointing out that the CLAIM needs to be called 'Bullshit'. All politicians do this, the time to call them out on it is in the primaries.

It doesn't matter what Bernie says or proposes, there is always the same group of people waiting to post something negative about it. There was a thread the other day about Bernie and Ariana Grande communicating on Twitter, and within minutes of the OP people were in there ridiculing it with condescending remarks about Grande and teenagers. It's just weird.

Bernie has, I think, a bigger ratio of people who genuinely love him, and people who really loathe him, than any other candidate running this year. He has fanboys/girls beyond anyone else and folks who still blame him for Hillary losing in 2016.

I like almost all of our candidates (one or two would make me hold my nose to vote blue, but I would), and liked Bernie in 2016; so no axe to grind, but he is blowing smoke out his ass on this one; they all do, just various issues and they get called on it to differing degrees. Biden gets every word, gesture and past statement scrutinized, too, in my view (and I don't think this is a bad thing).

I will say that I have ZERO doubt that if elected he would do everything in his power to un-fuck our taxation system. I would *LOVE* to see him win the primary and the general. I'm eternally grateful to him for pushing the Democratic party back to the left like no one before or since.

and all candidates in general. They often promise they're going to do something or other involving taxation or spending where in reality they don't control any of that. It's not directed at Bernie in particular; it's just another instance of a candidate making a promise that he will have trouble keeping.

It's funny how when the Republicans campaign on how they're going to cut taxes, they're somehow able to do it. But when we campaign on anything, all of a sudden it's an impossible dream. Yeah, I'll vote for the candidate with ambitious goals, thanks.

How does that work?

Why wouldn't President Bernie Sanders accomplish a reversal of the damaging tax cuts implemented by republicans and instead spread the wealth to better education, and other social services in the country?

I don't get why it is possible for republicans to do the damaging thing but when it comes to doing the right thing by a Democrat then many have doubts.

Republicans destroy, Democrats build, it has always been that way, why the doubt?

Bernie, if he becomes the President, will work with the two majorities to implement his plan, and hopefully Democrats will work with him to accomplish it.

How difficult is that? Democrats need to work united, what Bernie is suggesting is exactly what the majority of the country wants.

Your comments sound almost like Congress would be opposing President Bernie Sanders. If the idiot in the WH was able to promise and do the only things he has accomplished, which was to implement the horrendous tax cuts, it should be easier for President Bernie Sanders to do what he is promising.

It is like BS pledging to uphold Roe v Wade or supporting affirmative action or the rights of unions.

This proclamation doesn't distinguish BS from others although it is put out as though other candidates don't support the same thing.

to pay for her climate plan. I love how she credits Jay Inslee for his ideas influencing her climate plan, because of course none of these ideas are new. Like Medicare for All. I like candidates who give credit where credit is due and support other Democrats, who all want to reach the same goals.
