(628 posts)Also this looks good for Buttigieg. I know he is only at 7% but he is polling much higher in Iowa and if he can pull out a win there the numbers will change.
Also looking at these numbers pretty much magnifies that the debate stage should be cutoff after Harris. If you cant hit 5% of the vote at this time the writing is on the wall

(13,783 posts)Warren supporters would choose Sanders, which makes sense. But Sanders supporters would choose Biden, which makes no sense to me, unless it means Sanders supporters have especially personalized their 1st choice so that there second choice is made on the basis of resentment toward Warren for having split the far left vote.
Any other ideas?

(9,310 posts)It's more strategic than emotional, but it follows your line of thought. To get to Biden, Sanders must go through Warren. Sanders supporters must perceive Warren as a more immediate and direct threat than Biden for Sanders' chances to rise to the top.
