Meghan McCain Spars With Cory Booker Over Civility: Beto Was 'Very Nasty' to Me!

During a Wednesday interview with Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker, The View’s Meghan McCain did what she apparently does best: Make the conversation about herself and, in this case, her personal beef with a presidential hopeful.

After applauding Booker for saying Medicare for All is unrealistic, the conservative View co-host took issue with the New Jersey senator’s support for mandatory gun buybacks. This then prompted McCain to lump Booker in with former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, who has made buybacks a central focus of his campaign.

“When I heard you and Beto say that, to me, that’s like a left-wing fever dream,” McCain said. “And I want to know how you think you and Beto are going to go to red states and go to my brother’s house and get his AR-15s because, let me tell you, he’s not giving it back.”

Booker, meanwhile, asserted he is not nearly where O’Rourke is when it comes to gun buybacks, causing McCain to reply: “Good! Because he’s crazy!”

So Beto hurt Meghan's fee fees? Good!

Naturally she brought her father and his interrogation, while a POW, into the discussion, as justification for her statement. Someone pointed out that Benedict Arnold was a General. (I would have added Lee Harvey Oswald, to the list.) I think bubbles started forming in her brain. Whoopie finally had to shut her down.

Her behavior is so outrageous, and she gets very little positive feedback from viewers, so I can only guess as to why she's still on the show.

That is why she is untouchable. It’s obvious she has stuck the nervous of everyone on the show even Abbey. The show would be so much better if it wasn’t all me me me Meghan all about me. She thinks she’s a friggin expert and she’s an idiot. She would be a nobody if her last name wasn’t mcCain.

Then she went on a long, mind-numbingly long screed. I wish someone had the stamina to time exactly how much of the show her rantings consume. I suspect it is as much as everyone else's remarks, combined.
