Biden Hits Back At Criticism of Age: 'See If I Have The Energy'

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/joe-biden-age-criticism-see-if-i-have-energy_n_5dbd8229e4b0d8b441cf8214

Subhead: The former vice president, 76, dismissed concerns over his series of campaign trail gaffes and jumbled statements.

Former Vice President Joe Biden dismissed questions over his age following a New York Times report that called out his “uneven performances,” “gaffe-prone tendencies” and “verbal miscues.”

“They went out and found people who said that,” he told PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff in an interview that aired Friday. “I don’t doubt people said that... The overwhelming number of people haven’t worried about any miscue or not.”

Anther recent article I saw has a speech pathologist relating his s-called gaffes and mus-speaking as related to his stuttering problem.

Hits on his age and gaffe-proneness are not going to work.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He remains the most qualified both nationally and globally. At the same time, well-liked and trusted.
Terrific combination. ( Trump has rendered the word “perfect” useless).

In addition to domestic policies, we're looking at a wrecked international situation, our alliances in absolute tatters. No one trusts the United States anymore. Who has the background and personal relationships around the world to put that back together, pickup the phone and start on Day 1? Joe Biden. He also has decades of legislative experience, knows how the system works inside and out.

But better than that, perhaps the most important thing of all?

Biden still ranks as the best candidate to beat Donald Trump in the vulnerable states that cost us the 2016 electoral college. And that's where the contest will be ultimately be played out, won or lost. Despite all the bad press, the howls about gaffes and miscues, the critiques on debate performances, the Ukrainian mess, the electorate still believes Joe Biden is the one to beat Trump like a drum.

I agree with that assessment because Biden has proven his durability, remained at the head of the pack and taken the fight directly to Trump, calling the man out for the colossal failure, corrupt, cruel, vindictive SOB he truly is while reminding all of us that another term of Donald Trump will bring the country to its knees, make it unrecognizable.

Winning in 2020 is . . . EVERYTHING. I don't care if the man is 1000 years old. He can beat Trump and that's all that matters.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
