While Warren is trying to do something meaningful/worthy, her funding plan is about as believable as Mexico.

5. Actually, he does pay taxes. His corporation will too

when it’s accumulated loses since inception and massive research and development expenses are offset by profits.

But, when he sells stock to live lavishly, he pays taxes. Hopefully, a Democrat will get elected and will increase the Capital Gains tax.

Warren is playing the populist, and her MFA funding plan is unrealistic and a loser in General Election.

8. That's a different issue, and a good reason for increased payments from Feds to states.

Do you think those retail stores will be on easy street having to pay a tax to fund Medicare-for-All without getting any benefit (like holding workers by doing something good for them). MFA ain't gonna help the local retail stores.

I get your feelings, but Bezos ain't the problem. In fact, if Warren's plan were to get enacted, we are going to need a bunch more Bezoses to pay enough in the wealth tax or help him make even more money.

Unfortunately, the cost of MFA -- that just went from $34 Trillion over 10 years to $52 Trillion under Warren's latest analysis -- might make things worse for local areas. That's why I prefer a Public Option to losing the general election or having Warren's plan defeated, both setting us back years.

9. I'm in canada and we have a retail VAT tax to pay for healthcare. Employers

like not having to pay into private healthcare. In fact they have nothing to do with healthcare. It is just a choice where tax dollars are spent too. And canadians pay 2/3rds of what the us spends on healthcare today and everyone is covered. I'm not against a public option but want for you in the US what we have. My dad was in hospital last year and the care was most excellent. They predicted the day my father would be out of the hospital the day after he was admitted with a gallbladder issue at night. And they were right on.

But health care was getting more expensive as people were getting older and income taxes alone were not covering it. We had debt. Now if go out to eat in a restaurant 7% on top of your bill goes to the feds. If you don't eat out or buy the lastest fashion and you go to the library instead of buying books from Amazon you hardly pay any vat tax at all and you still get 'free health care'. I don't care how your health care improves. Just that it does and all people are covered for pre-existing conditions. There is no need for the profit motive in insurance. Doctors and nurses get paid great. We have great research hospitals.
