Former Sen. Bob Kerrey to campaign for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden

According to the announcement by Biden's campaign staff, Kerrey will be in Council Bluffs, Iowa Saturday to meet with volunteers at a canvass kickoff.

Biden's campaign says Kerrey will then travel to Newton, Iowa, at 1 p.m. to celebrate a campaign office opening.

Kerrey served as Nebraska's governor from 1983 to 1987 and then was elected as a U.S. senator from 1989 to 2001.

Elaborate a little, please. Bob Kerrey is a strong voice in Midwest Democratic politics. He'll help Biden in Iowa.

An otherwise strong year for Democrats nationally.

Kerrey is definitely not a negative, but I really doubt he is moving any votes. I think it was a fair description.
