A lot of you actually thought there was an ethical problem with the lecture circuit

I'm just bringing this up as a reminder. A depressingly large number of us actually were gullible enough to believe that there is an ethical problem with speaking on the lecture circuit.

This isn't going to get better this year; it's going to be much, much worse. And the same forces that convinced you of something as manifestly stupid as "working the lecture circuit is unethical" are going to also push you to believe stupid things about our eventual nominee.

You need to do better than you did 4 years ago.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Russia hacking DNC private emails (including parts of Hillary's Goldman Sachs speech), Wikileaks releasing them and the news gleefully telling us about them -- no problem! Perfectly ethical.

It will be bad next year. Looking forward to being called stupid/Republican/troll/paid shill among other insults for supporting our Democratic nominee.

Will NEVER FORGIVE this: "I kind of think if you're going to be paid $225,000 for a speech, it must be a fantastic speech ... which you would want to share with the American people. $225,000 is an extraordinary speech. A Shakespearean speech." Celebrities paid the usual rate for speeches: fine. A Democrat running for office who has given speeches and been paid: OMG OMG CORRUPT *lights hair on fire* MUST BE NEOLIBERAL CONSPIRACY. Idiots.

We are so happy to have someone smart and mature to tell us what to do. I know that your style of scolding is going to be what gets out the vote. Keep this up for sure hectoring is a solid plan for victory.

Who here believes that having a Wall Street friendly democrat in office would be a worse fate than having Trump?

Let's be clear about this. If you didn't vote for Clinton, you voted for Trump.
