Joe Bidens cash-strapped presidential campaign has been talking to top donors about ways to beef up its fundraising strategy in the crucial fourth quarter, including a possible increase in spending on social media platforms such as Facebook, according to people familiar with the matter.
They have also discussed a bigger emphasis on text messages that ask potential contributors to support Bidens campaign, said these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The former vice presidents campaign already sends texts to potential backers, and it is unclear what the message will be during the quarter.
The development comes at a precarious time for Bidens campaign, as his fundraising and polling numbers weaken against an onslaught from progressive Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, and fellow moderate Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

(7,505 posts)Not gonna happen. I posted an article about Biden saying the repubs are going to have an epiphany once dump leaves office and was taken to task because there had been a one-line tweet using that same line. I had to explain the difference between an article and a tweet. Unfortunately for some Biden supporters on here it's ok if we do it but wrong if you do.

(3,649 posts)He also spent more money last quarter than he raised and was left with $9m cash on hand, which is less than Harris. That is why he needs a SuperPAC.

(37,748 posts)If his supporters are reaching into old news for any good news, it bodes poorly for Sanders' plummeting and abject numbers (although you can always blame that on the media... it seems his standard tactic to blame his poor performance on anyone other than himself).

(2,461 posts)If you look from May til now, he has not only closed the Biden gap, but also proved to be a steady force to be recogned with.
But you keep oing your spin. It will work with some, till Joe runs into funding problems - and here comes Bloomberg! OMG!
I think there will be more to come, knowing that their spurt of money can only last 2 quarters from the richy rich's.
