Warren: Don't worry too much about Bill Gates

I went to Elizabeth Warren's' Calculator for Billionaires' and clicked on Bill Gates
https://elizabethwarren.com/calculator/ultra-millionaire-tax?source=soc-WB-ew-tw
The results are:

BILL GATES WOULD PAY $6.379 BILLION NEXT YEAR UNDER ELIZABETH’S WEALTH TAX.

Bill Gates has a net worth of $107,000,000,000.

Don’t worry too much about Bill Gates - if history is any guide, if billionaires do nothing other than invest their wealth in the stock market, it’s likely that their wealth will continue to grow.

Elizabeth’s wealth tax, which only impacts America’s 75,000 wealthiest families, would generate enough revenue to cover universal child care, quality public education, forgive student loan debt, provide free public college, and help finance Medicare for All.

This is an insult to Gates and my intelligence. if billionaires do nothing other than invest their wealth in the stock market is too cute by half. There are ten billionaires on the list. Would it be too much to ask the Campaign personalize results a little?

I am in favor of a 3% wealth tax.

If it weren't for people like Bill Gates, we wouldn't need people like Bill Gates. He literally can't give enough back to make up for what he's taken.

I’m not a Sanders or Warren taxer, but Gates, etc., are where the easy money is. That’s where I’d start, but we have to think long-term too.

We could take all the 20 percenters’ wealth, but it wouldn’t last us long, especially after that paper wealth plunges by 70% or more when the tax/confiscation starts.

has very little to do with M4A, and a lot to do with a bevy of inventive taxes on the wealthy.

Bill and Melinda do with their foundation. And hope that it continues.

He could consider the USD 6 billion+ to the IRS as another foundation gift and would still be doing well financially. He just wouldn't get to write any of this one off.

So no, I certainly never worry about Bill Gates. Financially.
