Yesterday a conservative neighbor said something courteous about all the Democratic candidates and I agreed courteously that we did have a lot of choices to consider and asked if it felt strange to not have any choice, or had it happened before? She said not that she recalled but didn't express her feelings about it, and we passed on to something else.

(6,994 posts)very difficult to believe that with Trumps polling number are are 37% approval that he has 2 to 3 percentage point against a Democratic Opponent.
How many of those sampled were Republicans ?..I think this is right leaning poll
For the MSM though if only 10 people were polled they don't care about the sampling number or if 6 out the 10 were Rrepukes, they have something to report.

(1,157 posts)When asked which news source they trusted the most, the leader with 37% wassurprise, surpriseFox News.
CNN was next with 22%, and MSNBC with 14%.
Might be an indicator of where the poll respondents get their information, which likely influences their choices.

(6,994 posts)obviously her corporate script she was reading is that Democrats have to run from center (Republican Lites) or else Trump wins re-election and Progressives lose..Obviously the Corporate Mafia Media didn't pay attention to the midterm results.
So my point is Repukes are gearing up to make a failed incompetent President look legitimate and the Corporate News are pushing polls like this on and scripts that favour this guy in the White House.

(52,169 posts)Is Harris way up in California inflating her national numbers? We learned last time that the states are what matters. That said, for all but Sanders and Biden this is probably closer to generic numbers than actual ones given the level of name ID.
