Beto O'Rourke Supported The Death Penalty As Recently As 2 Years Ago

This is great news. Glad to see Beto embracing progressive views and moving left. It definitely makes him a stronger candidates in the eyes of the base.

I am now strongly opposed to it. In every single case. I don't care about certainty of guilt or anything else. I regret that I ever supported it.

... IMO is out of touch with the electorate.

I am opposed to the DP on principle but learned a long time ago not to base my vote on it.

I am happy if Beto has moved on this but just wait for the Willie Horton ad. (That one worked, remember?)

It is annoying that the rest of the electorate doesn't hold the progressive views that I do. But it's even more annoying to have Trump as President.

We used to bash Bush for, as Colbert put it, "...believing the same thing on Wednesday that he did on Monday, no matter what happened on Tuesday." Are we now bashing Progressives/Liberals for NOT being like that?

I think he has a fantastic future in politics. I'd like to see more dynamic younger folks like Beto active in our party's politics.
