*NEW* Quinnipiac Poll - NH: Biden 20%, Warren 16%, Buttigieg 15%, Sanders 14%, Gabbard 6%

https://poll.qu.edu/new-hampshire/release-detail?ReleaseID=3648

Nearly one-third (32 percent) of New Hampshire likely Democratic primary voters say the most important candidate quality in deciding who to vote for is "someone who can win the general election," followed by "honesty" at 24 percent, "someone who cares about people like you" at 18 percent, "good leadership skills" at 14 percent, and only 7 percent saying "experience in public office."

Perceived electability is helping Biden, as he leads the primary with 31 percent of the vote among those who say that electability is the most important candidate quality to them. Warren gets 20 percent of these "electability" voters, while Buttigieg receives 19 percent, and Sanders gets 6 percent.

From November 6 - 10, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,134 New Hampshire likely Democratic primary voters with a margin of error of +/- 3.8 percentage points, including the design effect.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He's almost in second place there and not far from first. Independents like him a lot, and I think that the more exposure he gets, the more popular he'll be. He's going to be a major player in the primaries and I think he's got what it takes to go all the way.

Just an FYI. And if it is all about being from New England, Biden is only a little fruther away in Delaware, and should be diong WAY better in this New England state, if your logic serves correctly.

Delaware is 781 miles from New Hampshire...the google gods say it would take 14 hours and 38 minutes with moderate traffic to drive. Now, Vermont is 92 miles which take 2 hours and 34 minutes to drive in moderate traffic. So no, Delaware is not a 'little bit farther than Vermont but many miles and hours (driving) farther.

Just thought I'd point that out before you get called out for the discrepancy.

But you're right, there is no geographical comparison between Delaware to New Hampshire and Vermont to New Hampshire.

Vermont is on the left of the bridge below, New Hampshire on the right:

idea that Delaware is as close to New Hampshire as Vermont is...about two hours...quite simply, it is not true. I drove from Maryland to New Hampshire...went right though Delaware... and I used to go to New Hampshire to ski-I have dear friends in Vermont...so I know where theses states are and Sanders and Warren...it is in their backyard and they should do very well there. They are the ones who will be at risk politically if they don't...not Biden.

....over the Connecticut River. You're exactly right, thinking Delaware is as close to New Hampshire as Vermont is to New Hampshire is preposterous.

NH and VT are New England. Delaware is Mid-Atlantic. From where I am, in central Connecticut, it takes at least three hours to get across the Delaware Memorial Bridge. I can get up to New Hampshire in about 80 minutes.

when I was in High School and college...we went to Rhode Island on graduation night and slept on the beach when we couldn't find a bed for the night (stayed out a week, my parents were so pissed and my own kids paid me back when they became teens the youngest is still at it). I have friends in New Hampshire, and Vermont...my brother still lives in Connecticut. I miss New England...it really is very special. I like Ohio pretty well and Northern Ohio is as Eastern as you get in this area. Cleveland has really made a remarkable comeback...but I digress!

Here are the results, * designates incumbent (only three of those 12 election years)

Year/Iowa/New Hampshire:

1972 Uncommitted Muskie
1976 Uncommitted Carter
1980 Carter* Carter*
1984 Mondale Hart
1988 Gephardt Dukakis
1992 Harkin Tsongas
1996 Clinton* Clinton*
2000 Gore Gore
2004 Kerry Kerry
2008 Obama Clinton
2012 Obama* Obama*
2016 Clinton Sanders

Taking out the three incumbent years, of the remaining nine years the ultimate nominee won Iowa only five times, New Hampshire only four times. Please check this for accuracy.
