"It's amazing when you actually have time to communicate with voters how effective Joe Biden is."

This tweet from Biden's campaign manager, Greg Schultz, nails the difference between the town hall format and the Democratic debates:

It's amazing when you actually have time to communicate with voters how effective @JoeBiden is - the 'debate' format Democrats have been using just benefits Trump.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

excels at it. But a rapid fire speech delivery is not the usual means by which messages are communicated among world leaders, impressive as it is on tv or the stump—to some,

The president must deliberate, consult with advisors, cabinet, military officials. Listening is required. Recognizing complex geo-political realities globally also useful, and experience on world stage. Having the trust and respect of our allies a definite bonus. Debate gotchas, canned healthcare plan
speeches, animated lectures and revolutionary fervor, not really particularity presidential.

45. Are they equally qualified? Equally job-specific qualified? None but Biden has demonstrated
Tue Nov 12, 2019, 03:50 PM
Nov 2019

qualifications in national governance or international, affairs. None have foreign policy and relations
experience, in the field. None demonstrate Joe’s level of knowledge about complex geo-political
factors influencing trouble spots—the Mideast, India and Pakistan—the policy history underpinning current issues and those issues themselves in Central America which contribute to the humanitarian crisis at our southern border; none have been involved in negotiations with major players in Iraq, China, Europe, Russia or served as VP during our negotiations with Iran. Which president would have the greatest likelihood to bring Iran and the international community back to the table again or restore our alliances?

Supporters of other candidates assume qualifications not yet demonstrated, dismiss the importance of stature, respect, experience on the world stage, in fact, ignore FP altogether. They look only at political positioning and domestic policy serving that; but the leader of a superpower which in turn leads in the world, should, preferably, given such perilous times and the disarray Trump will leave behind, have a great deal more than domestic economic policy ideas to bring to the table.

Are other candidates as qualified to build up the crumbling executive office infrastructure, flesh out our skeletal state department, help restore functionality and mission to a variety of federal departments that no longer work for their respective missions?

It is wishful thinking to say all candidates are equally qualified, or prepared, or experienced. And, most important, those on the progressive side have not shown that they can unify our party, much less the public at large, around their policy ideas, much less around a set of common American ideals. Just the opposite. They have disparaged the idea of unity. They have made their goal to shift the party and the country to “the left,” a goal they seem to put above the needs or the will of the majority.

Biden is not only far and away the most job-specific qualified candidate, he is the one who launched his campaign on a unity message, avowed unity as a major goal. Others have picked it up since, but no one has as broad an appeal as Joe across regions, demographies, voting constituencies, and political identities.

Finally, as shown, once again in last night’s town hall, no other candidate conveys in his or her communication style and presence such empathy. Their policies may well be based on it. They have had their moments, when making a personal identification with an issue, or appealing to compassion in making a moral stance—yet consistently, Biden connects with audiences primarily through empathy and they, in turn, come away with an impression of Joe as, above all, decent, kind, compassionate, one who has heard them.

As a country assaulted daily by cruel, selfish, bigoted policies, words, and deeds we might do well to add compassionate character and presence to the list of qualifications we consider desirable, perhaps required, in our next president.

In that case, and along with Biden’s other manifest, proven qualifications, supporting his candidacy is a no brainer because none, as bright, ambitious, full of bold ideas and “exciting” as they are to followers, and a drama-demanding media, come up to Biden’s waist on all-around and global qualifications.

you don't agree with them on M4A and other issues than you aren't a real Democrat or as he said 'bad'... and it is kind of condescending to think you know best for everyone...if people don't want MFA than it can't happen. We elect folks to represent our preferred policies not to decide what is best for us against our wishes. M4A won't happen without pubic support. And right now, there is not enough support. But the ACA is popular and can be improved right away if we get the Senate...we might be able to force the GOP to support this too because it is popular...just my two cents.
