Nate Silver on media coverage of IA and NH giving white voters disproportionate influence

Two-tweet thread from Nate this morning, starting here, full text below:

Based on searches at http://NewsLibrary.com , in election cycles from 2008-2016, Iowa and New Hampshire got about 6x more media coverage than Nevada and South Carolina.

(FWIW, if you break them down individually, IA gets about 2.5 more than NH, and SC about 2.5 more than NV.)

In case the implication isn't clear: media coverage, which treats IA and NH as vastly more important than NV and SC, essentially gives white voters disproportionate influence over the primary. Having NV/SC go *before* IA/NH might balance things out a bit better.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
