Bernie Sanders: AOC would have key role in my White House if I'm elected in 2020

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., would be given a vital role in a Bernie Sanders administration and could even be tapped for a cabinet-level position, the 2020 presidential hopeful told ABC News on Sunday.

"Look, I have said this before, let me say it again — and I don't want [Ocasio-Cortez] to hear this, because [her] head will explode," Sen. Sanders, I-VT., said during a joint interview alongside the freshman House member.

"I don't know of any person — I've been in Congress for a few years, who in the course of less than one year — she's been in office less than one year, who has had more of an impact on American politics as a freshman member of Congress than she has."

When asked about the possibility of Ocasio-Cortez joining his cabinet, Sander responded that she's deserving of an influential role if he wins in 2020.

He is using her to run front. AOC is gaining even more political clout as Sanders fades into obscurity. Good on AOC. She is much smarter when it comes to politics than I had originally thought. Flat out upstaging a Presidential candidate and he is being forced to welcome it.

I think the BS campaign is in trouble... I think they KNOW the campaign is in trouble. The campaign has really lost momentum since his slip-and-fall and his heart-attack episodes. (Not his fault, I know... he's just following doctor's orders and that's why he's slowing down and cutting-back and taking-it-easy.) Still, I think it's becoming rather obvious that it's taking a toll on the campaign, and that would help to explain announcements like this.

When asked about the possibility of Ocasio-Cortez joining his cabinet, Sander responded that she's deserving of an influential role if he wins in 2020.
A cabinet position? Seriously? Which cabinet position is she qualified for? What would she bring to the position?

He cannot win it outright (literally impossible), and the super delegates will NEVER roll over for him on a 2nd (or beyond) ballot IF (very unlikely) it is a contested convention. Bernie's race is run. He will be lucky to win re-election 2024 to the Senate (he would be 8 months short of 90 years old at the end of his term if he won then.)

...this is wonderful news...we all recognize great talent and potential when we see it...why shouldn't Bernie?

...Bernie with AOC...win , win, win...

...Bernie wins, AOC wins and most of all, we and America win...

...with that combination, only republicans and the corrupt establishment lose...

...I'm so proud...we're gonna do it...
