This is not the first time. We heard this story and the method some twenty years ago or more.

The Original idea was to hire Private Insurance Company workers as Government Workers to administer this new program. No one would lose their jobs.

I don't know why Sanders and Warren made such a big deal about single payer. They both know what will actually come out of Congress and it won't be single payer.

But,until the Corporate Media decides not to use it,nothing changes. BTW,was involved with a Insurance Round Table in the Late 1980's dealing with this vary issue. Absorbing the Private Insurers Paper Pushers actually would have been a major plus in efficiencies of productivity. The Time table for implementation was as fast as 18 months but more realistic our study gave the full about 36 months due to Labor contracts.

The Killer was several local based Insurance Companies who just dug in their heels and filibustered every person that was not Industry related at the table. The same arguments against are being promoted again today.

I suspect Bernie supported less than ideal legislation because they were a step forward. Bernie has never advocated for a 2-step approach to health care reform. He's been consistent with his advocacy for M4A. This is just another disingenuous anti-Bernie thread. There are legimate criticisms of Bernie's record but everyone should stop with the nonsense threads.
