US Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Oregon) endorses Biden

https://katu.com/news/politics/schrader-endorses-biden-for-president

U.S. Rep. Kurt Schrader became the first Oregon lawmaker to throw support behind a presidential candidate.

Schrader said Tuesday he’s endorsing former Vice President Joe Biden.

Schrader said Biden can win tough districts, he appeals to working men and women, and he can work with the other side to get things done.

"He's one of those few charismatic individuals that when you meet him and you talk to him, he really cares about you," Schrader said Saturday when Biden was in Portland for a fundraiser. "It's not about him. I think he's a reluctant runner. It's not about self-promotion; he's doing this because he really thinks the country needs strong leadership."

According to Biden’s campaign, Schrader is the 19th member of Congress to endorse the former vice president.

KS has been in Congress since 2009..

Oregon's 5th congressional district represents Oregon's central coast through Salem, north to the southern Portland suburbs, and east to the summit of Mount Hood. It includes Lincoln, Marion and Polk Counties, most of Clackamas and Tillamook Counties, plus parts of Benton and Multnomah Counties.

Mahalo, Goth!

My daughter lives in Portland and they have a home in Hood River.. beautiful part of our country!
