DEBATE THREAD #1

It's still just a few hours off, but I feel this is urgent, so I am reposting the following:

What I want from this debate and going forward: a full-throated denunciation of Trump's cheating and crimes from every candidate who dares call themself a Democrat.

DO NOT leave Joe Biden out there twisting in the wind alone, answering questions from the moderators about Hunter and Burisma. Speak up loud and clear!

If you think Trump won't come for you, you are a fool and not worth my time.

If you dislike Joe Biden so much you think he deserves this and Trump is just doing your work for you, you are despicable and not worthy of the office you seek.

Trump has not just undermined our democracy, he has declared war on it.

Trump is no longer just a buffoon with a personality disorder, his grandiosity has pushed him over into the "dangerously insane" category. He is a danger to us all. He will tear it all down unless someone stops him soon.

Trump will destroy us if not stopped by a united front. No cowardice from Dems!

Please report in your observations.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

We stand for the rule of law. Presidents do not go after their political enemies or opponents. Trump does that. Which is why he must be defeated. Without the rule of law, we'll lose the Republic. Without healing the country, nothing will get done. We cannot be tempted into accepting Trump's lower than low bar.

I which Harris had gotten a follow up. Tulsi, you claim I lie?

And list it off again and ask if it happened.

I am so damn tired of truth being turned into a lie and lies being our false reality.

This mechanism he suggested in particular is really savvy, and gets at the core issues of economics vs. how people need to move around and those who want to stay in areas. Is brilliant, really.

foreclosures across the nation. Many middle income folks paying on homes for years face the threat of losing them to a job loss, disability, missed property tax deadlines, and need help to stay in them. This need is one reason I favor more conservative debt relief on student loans, not wholesale amnesty which includes those able to pay principal.

Income driven policies should address low income needs and families first. Rolling back on interest on
student debt would help because it is the exploding due to compound interest that creates the bulk of the burden.

But for Steyer to say that he'll declare a "national emergency" proves that he doesn't know how much democratic rights get suspended.

On the other hand, corporations' "rights" WILL be suspended, and that absolutely can't be a bad thing.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
