Given her upbringing in a highly authoritarian closed group whose leader has political ambitions for his ideas, and where she was groomed to be the very attractive public face for such ambitions, I'd say this counts as a great leap forward.

Donald Trump is president today in part because of certain people -- like Jill Stein -- who pulled votes away from our nominee. The Kremlin and its state-run media loved Jill, and they love Tulsi. I wonder why that is. But mostly I want it to not happen again because we dismiss the danger to the Democratic Party and the Democratic nominee of some candidate with sketchy backing and the inability to win.
