As chief prosecutor for Minnesota’s most populous county from 1999 to 2007, Klobuchar declined to bring charges in more than two dozen cases in which people were killed in encounters with police.

At the same time, she aggressively prosecuted smaller offenses such as vandalism and routinely sought longer-than-recommended sentences, including for minors. Such prosecutions, done with the aim of curbing more serious crimes, have had mixed results and have been criticized for their disproportionate effect on poor and minority communities.

When one of our candidates has Turner and Sirota on their team. That is a much greater concern. There is no stoop too low for either. That includes assisting Trump during elections.

Whenever Turner's name comes up, my too-immediate assumption is that she's spewing some new malicious lie.

However that doesn't exactly mean we should turn our backs on others. I have more than a little problem with both candidates promoted by Russia to defeat us.

And in Gabbard's case specifically, years now of spreading Russia's and Syria's messages as her own (just coincidence...) is not okay, to put it mildly.

Nor is her disgusting and continued popularity with a bunch of really nasty nationalists and racists, including apparently and sadly some who hang out on the left. She's tried to dissociate her image from them since she's running on the Democratic label, but her actions draw and continue to please them.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Please reference 2016. Turner and Sirota work for such a candidate. This is a fact.

I do agree with you about Gabbard and shouldn't have minimized the potential negative impact she can have.

in attracting black voters, it's not likely to be especially on account of issues in South Bend as much as a lack of name recognition and the fact that they like some other candidates better (Biden, mostly). And maybe Turner and Sirota should look a little more closely at their own campaign.
