Deval Patrick: Democratic primary is 'wide open'

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Deval Patrick insisted Monday he has a real shot at the Democratic nomination despite his last-minute entry into a packed field earlier this month.

"It's a wide-open race," the former Massachusetts governor told reporters at the Politics & Eggs breakfast, hosted by the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College. "And the fact that folks have been in for a long time and campaigning for a long time now, raising money for a long time ... has not resolved it."

Patrick's comments came on the heels of a trip through the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada. "What I've seen is that the path we knew was there is wider than I fully appreciated."

Patrick jumped into the presidential race 11 days ago. His decision to run made waves in his home state of Massachusetts, which he shares with frontrunner Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

Yes, but he won't be a part of it...

But here in SC his are the only ads we see. And, I don’t know who is paying but there are Tulsi billboards all over the state.

Biden still has a huge lead here in the polls.
Dem electorate is almost 2/3 black, but he has a troubling low margin among under 30
AAs as compared to over 50s.

according to a CBS News Battlefield Tracker poll, only 23% of NH Dems said they've decided who they will vote for in less than 3 months. Room there for a newbie to pick off some wobbling NH Sanders voters. Apparently they're wondering why he's doing so poorly when Democrats haven't even had a chance to steal his elections yet.

They leave that number out when reporting on candidate support, but that is a significant amount of people they're basically pretending don't exist / won't be a factor.

Just more manipulation imo.
