Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumJust watched Rachel and I'm more committed to Warren than ever.
I've cited climate change and the wealth gap as reasons more important than Trump. I'm adding to that her sharp focus on corruption. Remember her great debate answer about the impeachment hearings? How she turned it into castigating a system where Sondeman could get the EU ambassadorship for 1 million dollars?
Corruption, not just DT's corruption, but widespread, entrenched corruption has to be turned over. It won't be done by trying to "get along."

(1,812 posts)for saying during the debate that the system was corrupt ...He makes multiple millions of dollars a year while his lowly co-workers are forbidden to form a union He loves the system ...I thought Chris was a Democrat...All that money has turned him into a plutocrat ...He hates Trump - but a plutocrat nonetheless

(10,143 posts)has hurt her. She needs to get away from Bernie's fantasies and get back to appealing to mainstream Democrats. She ran the best campaign of all the candidates from March to September and then faltered badly. If she can recover she can win the nomination.

(4,619 posts)I don't know why anyone would be unhappy.
When I add
Property tax
Sales tax
Cell phone tax
Electricity tax
Tax on fast food
Tickets / Fees
Gas tax
Social Security
Medicare
Income tax
Probably a bunch more I can't think of
When I add it all up, I can pay more than 50% of my "wages" in taxes
Billionsires?
They get to compound their wealth TAX FREE
I wish I wasn't the only one who can add stuff up.

(13,573 posts)easy. They are convinced the answer is to cut government expenditures. The reality is that the government is going to continue to get what it takes to run everything one way or another.
On the old Crossfire on CNN, Michael Kinsley had his "honest republican test". When they were insisting Clinton make more cuts, he said, okay, you go first. What programs from your state or district are you willing to cut to make that happen? No Congressman would ever give an answer to that. Usually they would say it was there obligation to their constituents to get their fair share of what was being spent. Of course everyone keep reelecting their guys for doing exactly that, despite Congress always having a low approval rating.

(145,129 posts)That candidate is Joe Biden. I really do not think that neither Warren nor sanders can beat trump
I also worried that Warren would kill down ballot candidates with her far left plans
