Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumFears mount about Biden's South Carolina firewall
The HillIn recent weeks, Biden has been losing ground in the first two early voting states, according to polling. And if he falls behind Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) or South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, he will have to reassert his case to voters, Democratic strategists and political observers say.
Bad losses in Iowa and New Hampshire, and some other states, could easily hurt Biden, said Julian Zelizer, a professor of public affairs and history at Princeton University.
So far, the former vice president has retained strong support from voters in South Carolina. A couple of recent surveys showed approximately one-third of likely voters in the Palmetto State plan to support Biden.

(102,236 posts)They predict Biden downfall? How unusual, given they have spent years supporting a Trump-lying CT mongerer to MAKE IT SO.

(2,657 posts)Trump lovers have actually been running anti-Biden commercials and Facebook ads at the people living in Iowa. They are so scared of Biden that they are running ads against a potential opponent before Iowa, which is unheard of. With Biden leading Trump by 13 points, no wonder they sare scared, and no wonder they wanted Ukraine to make stuff up about Biden.

(25,111 posts)Also read on another site about Republican turn in EC's look strong but alas, so does the Democratic turn out as well. This suggests that although t-rump insane base in rural counties will come out in full force, but so will Democratic strongholds in the cities.
Also, the article failed to mention that rural counties are starting to realize that the economy sucks.
I'm pretty sure The Hill will address it.

(68,556 posts)coming in first...Warren will be done if she doesn't win one or the other (electability is important for her). I have looked at recent polls...Biden's numbers are holding... and this is the usual fact free Biden bashing. Did Warren gain AA voters? NO. Did any of the others...hmm-NO. We pretty much discount such nonsense.

(68,556 posts)will win...being concerned about electability should always be a concern for Democrats...you can have the most pure and perfect candidate ever created by man or God...but if said candidate can't get elected...it is for nothing. Biden also has the experience to run foreign policy...none of the other candidates have this sort of experience.

In order for Biden to have issues in South Carolina and the South, someone has to breech his African American support, so far no one has remotely done that.
