Biden is on a one man crusade to elevate the word "Malarkey." Proof?

https://www.motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2019/12/a-brief-history-of-malarkey/

I love how people are trying so hard to make Bidens use of the word malarkey an issue. All they are doing is bringing more attention to his tour. I promise, they don't have enough depth to understand that aspect if you don't tell them. Let them drag on about it. Maybe even jump in with a little graph or just proclaim "I don't get it either" and pat them on the back.

Really doesn't matter who does and who doesn't. Just the use of the word alone got him free advertisement.

4. I don't know why such a big deal is being made of the word "malarkey."

I heard it all the time from my mom, who, when I was talking BS, would say "You're full of malarkey." And she wasn't Scranton Irish, but Midwestern Scandinavian. I think it was a pretty common word in the olden days, when you'd get in trouble for cussing.

one rarely sees even from fifth graders.

But, it's all part of the "throw one or two banalities at the wall every week and hope something sticks one of these days" strategy. Not good tactics for fifth graders, but popular for third-rate, second-tier candidates.

the best way to lose younger voters is to insult them with words like lazy, entitled, bootstraps, etc. I heard a lot of that during the recession as I was moving to a new state every few months doing jobs that US citizens won't even apply for. I also got to hear a lot about how I was stealing jobs from Americans. The winning strategy to get votes from brown minorities is to believe in your heart that we're immigrants and not born here.

12. My advice--lean in! Use it. Chuckle about its quaint factor. Coin "Trumplarkey."

“I know it’s an old fashioned word. I’m a little old fashioned in my way of speaking. But man, I’ve learned so much over the years, from the old guys who were young with me, Elijah Cummings, Ted Kennedy, those great old progressive Democrats. We came up in a time when there was a different way of speaking. But we fought then for human rights and now that I’m learning from young people every day what their lives are like and what I need to know about their needs, I want to fight for even more, out of a new understanding, looking forward to a new day we old guys are joyous to see coming. Call it what you will—malarkey, dishonesty, manipulation—let’s call it Trumplarkey—I’ll work every day for a word that never goes out of fashion. Integrity.”

It’s doable.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
