Yes. He said that.
We all know that if she HAD behaved as if she wanted to be president her whole life, she'd have been "too ambitious."
Kimberly Atkins countered with an excellent point. "How many times have you heard someone say, 'I like Kamala Harris, but I don't think a black woman can win in this environment.' or 'I like Kamala Harris, but I'm not sure people will vote for a black woman.' We need to be willing to acknowledge the role those 'buts.' played in this race."

(11,631 posts)I'm constantly floored by the fact that he anchors a daily media show about politics and fails to see the irony in spending half his time bemoaning the fact that 'Democrats just aren't getting their message across' and 'people just don't think the facts are important'... hello McFly whos fucking job is it to get the message about the facts to people if not you? People only care about the politics because people like Chuck Todd ONLY talk about the politics.

(1,898 posts)I concur with the outrage here. Harris' reply on Twitter was perfect.
As a Berner, I would like to state for the record my gratitude to Senator Harris for contributing to the process markedly.

(2,657 posts)in a single hour. He's easily the worst host on MSNBC. Does his comment mean if Kamala's been dreaming of becoming President since she was 8, but someone else has been dreaming since they were six, she was destined to lose? At what age was it too late to dream? What a pointless comment, Chuck Todd.
I watched Todd a little today but I chose to stop watching when Todd and his panel were saying that the Democrats should not impeach until they looked under every rock. Todd and Company were acting as if the Democrats were completely finished investigating--apparently not realizing that this was just a resting point for the Intelligence Committee while they hand their report to the Judiciary Committee. Everyone on Todd's panel acted like the Democrats were completely finished investigating. What a clueless bunch Todd and his guests are.
