(114,629 posts)I think it would be a great combo, though not so much in terms of attracting additional EC votes from Battleground states. If people would just wake up to the horror of Trumpism, though, we wouldn't have to worry about that. Biden does garner votes in a lot of those states anyway. Kamala might just have an additive effect for suburban women nationwide.

(20,845 posts)Hint: Its less than you think. In that sense, the pick to put in play construct has become a little dated.

(62,444 posts)What they cannot do is to make a deal that benefits their political interests in exchange for that nomination.

(12,586 posts)I've had others make good points against the combination but in my heart of hearts the Biden/Harris combo would light up the sky revealing the Trumpster for the small, vindictive man he truly is.
Might be wishful thinking but the possibility puts a smile on my face!

18 U.S. Code § 600. Promise of employment or other benefit for political activity
Whoever, directly or indirectly, promises any employment, position, compensation, contract, appointment, or other benefit, provided for or made possible in whole or in part by any Act of Congress, or any special consideration in obtaining any such benefit, to any person as consideration, favor, or reward for any political activity or for the support of or opposition to any candidate or any political party in connection with any general or special election to any political office, or in connection with any primary election or political convention or caucus held to select candidates for any political office, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
On edit:
I meant 599, not 600:

(63,040 posts)As I read it
any employment, position, compensation, contract, appointment, or other benefit, provided for or made possible in whole or in part by any Act of Congress
refers to government jobs and contracts.
For that matter, I've seen plenty of speculation online that Warren or Sanders might drop out in favor of the other, possibly to become a running mate.

(54,837 posts)over the plazzy groping bullshit that was spun up back in the spring, and inferred Pete was a Russian plant (by trying to link him to Gabbard) and help spread the pure lies about Zuckergerg being intimately involved in Buttigieg's campaign.
Olear is a piece of shit.
here is Olear smearing Biden as (not for the first time) Handsy McGee
Link to tweet
Here is a Hoarse Whisperer retweet of a bullshit Olear smear of Buttigieg (Olear smears the vast majority of Dems running for POTUS he is a big Gillibrand fanboy, and says Warren and Harris are the only two real ones left)

It is a full circle clusterfuck of shitbaggery.
