The guy in Iowa said MSNBC reported that Biden got a job for Hunter

in Ukraine so that they could access to President Obama. So glad VP Biden called him out for the liar he was. That guy was Maga..

might have said that. I wish he would have simply strongly denied that he did anything to help Hunter get that job - and if true - say that he had wished Hunter didn't take that job. It is more important that the claim is not true and part of a RW smear that is taking the known fact (known since Hunter took the job) and conflating that it was a conduit to his dad and President Obama.

The facts are that while Hunter did have a job that did create an appearance of conflict of interest, everyone in teh Obama administration and our EU allies was pushing Ukraine to clean up corruption.

I don't think this person could have been won over - I agree he is likely a MAGA person - but others in the crowd might have some misgivings on the issue which will come up again. Anger is a normal reaction, but I think it might have been better to more calmly say that he did not send his son there and that no one in teh Obama administration acted in Burisma's favor.

MAN: We all know Trump has been messing around in the Ukraine over there, holding their foreign aid, so they'll say they're having an investigation, we know all of that. He has no backbone. But you on the other hand, sent your son over there, to get a job and work for a gas company, that he had no experience with gas, nothing. In order to get access for the president. You're selling access to the president just like he is.

BIDEN: You're a damn liar, man, that's not true. And no one has ever said that, no one has proved that.

MAN: I see it on the TV

BIDEN: You've seen it on the TV. No, I know you do, I'm not sedentary, I get up and…no, no, let him go.

BIDEN: The reason I'm running is because I've been around a long time and I know more than most people know. And I can get things done. That's why I'm running. And if you want to check my shape, let's do push-ups together man, let's run, let's do whatever you want to do. Let's take an IQ test (applause) Number two. No one has said that my son has done anything wrong, and I have not on any occasion, and no one has ever said it, not once.

MAN: I didn't say you were doing anything wrong.

BIDEN: You said I set up my son to work for an oil company, isn't that what you said? Get your words straight, Jack!

MAN: I heard it on MSNBC

BIDEN: You don't hear that on MSNBC! Look, I don't want to get in an argument here, man. Look here's the deal.

MAN: It looks like you don't have anymore backbone than Trump does (audience boos). I'm not voting for you.

There is nothing so far that indicates that he or Hunter did anything wrong. Boards often have people with famous names. Hunter said that he is aware that his name probably helped him but it's also seem as a benefit by the company to have famous names on their board. Secondly, Hunter's work was in relation to achieving compliance to western rules. He didn't need experience in the gas business.

Covered all of Southern Minnesota and parts of Northern Iowa for almost five decades. Amazing how Tribal many of these Towns and Cities are. Always reminded of a early TV program about interesting people you meet. And yes there some major Liberal areas in Rural Minny and Iowa. But,there are areas that will have a Confederate Flag flying as you enter town. Says tons my friend.

Maybe not directly - that MSNBC said it - but the typical whirling rhetoric I can easily be misunderstood and that's probably the aim. Talk radio, I listen in, is a crazed world of references regular listeners "get" and pointed inside jokes.....oh and flat out lies.

especially in rural America. And with Sinclair owning the bulk of these Stations, the hate speech and out right lies are the norm rather than a misquote. Interesting is the Social Media and how these falsehoods are spread,we have a neighborhood chat group in our HOA,visited the sight just out of Ha Ha's Thanksgiving Day. Holy crap, could not believe the garbage people post. After about five minutes of reading the latest posts, had to quit. At least we found out that we are that left wing liberal Trump haters on the intersection of certain Streets. Some people just have to much time on their hands.

Hey,it made our day,and this site is supposed to keep the Community Informed as to events and Public Safety Issues.

I guess I should get involved in the HOA - I'm told they do nothing but worry about mailbox uniformity.

A friend went to the county board meeting last week and the first 30 minutes were 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries folks.

one of the last board meetings I attended there were umpteen open mic spews about some of use flying our USA flags cause we have a CC&R stating you could only fly your flag on those appropriate national flag days. You got it,someone held up a picture of our House flying the flag. Later that night when I got home,I turned the flag upside down and flew it that way for a week. Needless to say,the HOA Manager stopped by and asked why the upside down flag, after my brief explanation, she agreed with me as why I fly our flag every day. BTW,while she was here,I did put the flag back to it's right full position. The next open board meeting the same screaming needle noses spoke up only to be graveled down and statement was read by the HOA manager that it will be appropriate for anyone to display their American Flag at any time they wish.

What a wonderful way to get under the Trumper Skins.
