(11,936 posts)Personally, there are only a few candidates still in the race that I've feel compelled to have a beef with, Gabbard because I don't trust her and Bloomberg because of so many reasons I shouldn't have to explain, ya'll already know.
But I have a great respect for the vast majority of our candidates as intelligent, resilient and ultimately (more importantly) kind hearted people who want to do good things for our country and the world. That also includes some that have already dropped out like Beto, and Kamala.

(108,994 posts)For example, his smug insistence that Democrats don't care about deficits and debt -- even though he doesn't have anything on his own website on the topic, and the first two other candidates I checked (Warren and Klobuchar) do talk about tackling these problems.
And both Bill Clinton and Obama made great strides in reducing the deficit, only to have the gains erased by W. and Trump.

(108,994 posts)so, yes, I think his website belies that. If he cares more than Klobuchar, for example, than why did she talk about this at some length?
And, yes, I care about deficits, and I was sick to see Trump's tax give-away blow up our deficit that Obama had worked so hard to control. But Buttigieg wasn't crediting Obama or Clinton. He was lumping Democrats in with R's on this issue.
The idea that this small-city Mayor, who has never been involved with a Federal budget in his 37 years, could do better with a Federal budget than people like Klobuchar, Booker, or Warren, among others, is pretty laughable.
