To go after trump.

As an individual contributor, he can only contribute so much to the campaigns of candidates running.

There’s a lot of rules on spots attacking candidates from individuals.

As a candidate he can flood the airwaves with attacks on trump.

So far, everything I’ve seen from him is him going after trump and not our primary candidates.

Kind of hoping that catches on with the rest of our field.

Bloomberg is now ahead of Booker and Klobuchar. I don't think he's likely to win but I wouldn't flippantly discard him.

As for his motivation? How about: he thinks Biden won't get the nomination and Sanders, Warren etc. won't beat Trump.

Alternatively, maybe he thinks Biden won't get the nomination and he's afraid that Sanders or Warren WOULD beat Trump.

However, as long a Biden is doing this well nationwide, in Iowa and in New Hampshire, it is fine with me if Bloomberg stays in.

Is it possible that Bloomberg is hurting Pete Buttigieg more than anyone else?

He must be hoping for a Biden collapse before Super Tuesday .In such a far-fetched scenario moderates, he hopes, would jump on his bandwagon to stop the Progressive who emerges from the results in the Early States . It is an extreme longshot presidential bid. Bloomberg has no better than a 15 -1 chance of pulling it off
