Tulsi Gabbard: Trump indictment might have 'led to civil war'

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, said late Monday that an indictment of President Trump by special counsel Robert Mueller could have eventually “led to civil war.”

“If [Trump] had been indicted for conspiring with Russia to interfere with and affect the outcome of our elections, it would have precipitated a terribly divisive crisis that could have even led to civil war,” Gabbard said in a statement posted on Twitter.

Gabbard added that while she “strongly supported” Mueller being allowed to complete the probe, “[n]ow that Mueller has found no collusion took place, we need to set aside our partisan interests and recognize that finding the president of the United States not guilty of conspiring with a foreign power to interfere with our elections is a good thing for America.”

So she figures she has nothing to lose saying this kind of nonsense.
Her campaign is the biggest failure among Democrats.

Trump intentionally manufactures a threat of a pending civil war to blackmail Congress and our Judicial system into not making any moves against him. Trump is doing everything he can to stoke the potential of violence erupting in response to any move made against him and that includes threatening unrest should he ever lose an election. He did exactly that in 2016 when he told all of his followers that the upcoming elections were rigged in favor of Clinton. Trumps threats seemingly influenced the decisions made by James Comey to make public statements damaging to the Clinton campaign because he was afraid Trump would call the FBI complicit in a rigged election won by Clinton if he didn't.

Once our political system is cowed into fearing lawful actions against a corrupt Administration, Trump has successfully undermined our Constitution and begun autocratic rule. Gabbard is complicit in aiding and abetting Trump in achieving that end.
