Gabbard says impeachment will only "embolden" Trump

Uh-huh, Tulse. Something's emboldening Trump, but it ain't impeachment.

Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard spoke candidly on Saturday about her controversial decision to vote "present" during last week's formal impeachment vote, adding she feared the impeachment of President Donald Trump would only "embolden" him and increase his chance for reelection.

"I think impeachment, unfortunately, will only further embolden Donald Trump, increase his support and the likelihood that he'll have a better shot at getting elected while also seeing the likelihood that the House will lose a lot of seats to Republicans," Gabbard said, in a one-on-one interview with ABC News in Hudson, New Hampshire.

Gabbard -- a 2020 president candidate -- noted that the prospect of a second term for Trump and a Republican-controlled House is a "serious concern" of hers, adding that she's worried about the potential ramifications that will be left if Trump is acquitted.

She told ABC News that it could leave "lasting damage" on the country as a whole. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/rep-tulsi-gabbard-impeachment-embolden-trump-increasing-reelection/story?id=67960828

And barring a stock market crash, unemployment spike, or other highly visible to the mainstream economic disaster/recession, he will probably keep hovering around 40%-43% in the polls. Trump and the GOP are a rather predictable known quantity at this point.

The only thing not impeaching would have done is make the Democratic Party look exceptionally weak, and given creedence to Trump's witch hunt conspiracy theories. Impeachment helps to put a ceiling on Trump's popularity during a time when the public views the economy as better than it actually is.

The most difficult trick to impeachment is keeping it from being the only thing that defines the Democrats to the mainstream. I think we can always do better in crowing about the many bills that have passed in the house, and highlighting Moscow Mitch's obstructionism.

Tulsi, if you REALLY believed this crap, then you would have voted against impeachment. Instead you voted "present" on argueably the most important vote of the last at least 10 years-(certainly of your short political career) Tulsi Gabbard, I don't care if you served in the military, YOU ARE A CHICKENSHIT COWARD, PERIOD!
