Booker's on a CNN town hall tonight. Hope he doesn't yell a lot.
It's been a long day and I'm getting a headache.

3. IMHO, too loud on the stump. He needs to dial it down a bit.
The promo CNN is running shows him yelling on the stump.

4. CNN has been running a few-second long scene of him for about a week in which he's talking loudly.

7. That's a real tacit way to denigrate a fellow Democrat.

8. It's my honest opinion that he comes on too loud and/or too strong sometimes.
That is just my opinion. You're entitled to yours. I didn't intend to denigrate anyone. Did you?

9. All passionate politicians like Bernie, Biden, Harris, O'Rourtke, Warren, etc. do it.

10. I tend to agree. I only mentioned Booker 'cause he was the subject of the OP.
I probably need to be less critical of our candidates' oratory skills in this venue. I sometimes mistake other environments for some of my old Poly Sci class discussions where we dissected politicians, their policies and their campaigning strengths and weaknesses with sharp knives.
I lived through JFK, LBJ, RFK, MLK, Malcolm X, HHH, Medgar Evers and, of course, BHO so I have pretty "expensive tastes" as far as oratory appreciation goes. ![]() ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

11. imo, Bernie does it WAY to fucking much, Biden does a decent job of ebb and flow, same with Harris.
Beto needs some work in the area of modulation and variance, for sure, Warren needs to learn how to use her voice and show power without going hoarse.
MANY of them could use vocal coaches. And yes, the promo CNN showed for Booker was a little shouty. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |
