I think at the next debate that ALL candidates be asked a yes or no question

Will you work with republicans? Every single one and that they get pushed for a yes or no answer.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

1. That's an easy question who would say no? It's a fool's errand to think they will.

3. It should be an easy question. It also needs to be put out there.

5. "what will you be willing to give up to compromise"? ...would be my subsequent question.

Advantage? Principles? Funding?

It will end up being something. I know that compromise is essential to the operation of a multi-party democracy, but we've been doing a lot of compromising, and the Republicans haven't.

6. The answer is...
Tue Jan 7, 2020, 06:05 PM

... yes. That would be my single word answer. However, I don't like all strict yes/no questions. I would also, in my opening statement, say I'm not raising my hand to respond to any questions. When a "raise your hand if..." question came up, I would look down and pay no attention. I want to explain my answer.

I hate those kinds of questions. Not all questions have a yes or no answer and its absurd to ask such questions of someone who could be the president of the United States.

What, exactly, does "work with" mean? I wouldn't answer that question without a very precise definition of that term, if that's even possible.

That there are nuances which, for years, many of us claimed Republicans do not grasp.

If asked any question that is a Yes or No, they should provide this reply.

If one is getting racked over the coals for saying he would work with them, I want to know where the others stand. Let's level that particular part of this playing field.
