Buttigieg Says Trump Is Radicalizing Americans
March 29, 2019 at 7:28 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

Pete Buttigieg told Vox that President Trump is “radicalizing” Americans.

Buttigieg noted that “when people are economically or socially dislocated, they are always more vulnerable to being radicalized.”

He added: “And I think a lot of Americans are being radicalized by this administration. The experience of disruption that’s gone on, especially in the interior, has obviously made it more fertile to being taken advantage of by people like this president.”

Sure there were a lot of bad things we were still trying to shake off, I thought. But we'd made progress over the last century, learned a lesson about fascism in WWII, and about communism (not socialism!) during the Cold War, and were on our way to putting institutional racism behind us thanks to the election of Barack Obama.

Surely, those pathetic dozen or so douche-nozzles who were in the Klan or, even worse, the Neo-nazis, posed more an anachronistic historic anomaly than a serious threat, right?

Trump lifted the rock and the poisonous bugs scurried out. They marched in Charlottesville, their "Proud Boys" leader spoke before well-positioned Republicans in New York City, and the "Boys", themselves, brutalized protestors there, they re-elected a Representative who proudly spouts white-supremacist tripe.

Trump continues to hold rallies where he spews racism, bigotry, and intolerance to cheering crowds of supporters -- who seem to show up in significant numbers, 100s, 1,000s of them, men and women of all ages, proud, some even literate, and at least 40,000,000 proudly approve of everything -- everything! -- Trump has done or tried to do or said he would do or lied about having done. 40 million!

Mueller's report, unless it's burned by Barr and there are no copies available for study, contains enough evidence and provides enough of a trail of treason to wake up at least some of those 40 million. But that ain't gonna happen, folks, because the DOJ is going to sit on that report until after the November, 2020 election. The 40 million stalwarts will vote for Tump again even if he sends rape squads for their women. But the Fox propaganda machine, abetted by the "Liberal" media (which will continue to follow Trump because he brings them ratings) will work a heavy massage on enough of the rest of the voting public that the son of a bitch may well win, again. If he doesn't win the election (popular and/or electoral college) and steps down in humiliating defeat, America will still have upwards of 40 million fascist-backing racist-condoning forever-trumpers to deal with -- or to appease. (Many politicians on the Left, after all, seem acolytes of St. Neville of Chamberlain, chanting his mantra "Peace in our time," as they seek ways to "reach out" to the fascist traitors on the Right and wrest defeat from the jaws of victory.)

If, by hook or by crook, the obese, orange haired eunuch wins again in 2020, America will have died. End of story.

He put into words what I've been seeing all around me. Just seeing clips last nite from his rally, he does nothing but whip up hate against targets he feels resentful against. And lots of people are eating it up.

.. or exposing the abject stupidity of close to half the population. Cuts in education funding over the long term will have this effect. In a world without explanation the people will turn to their tribes and religion.

The sad thing is that there will be no punishment for Republican traitors. Obama would have been removed as president for only one of Trumps many transgressions. And the more Trump lies and destroys, the more lying and destroying we accept until there is nothing left but the powerful and the weak, the wealthy and the poor.
