Because if you watch this video about the polling organization, which is, btw, the one that's been around the longest, you'll see that they have been very successful in the past because, as the pollster says, they are not polling backwards, they are polling forward.

Other polls get it wrong because they make an assumption based on the past. The assumption the other polls are making is probably about name familiarity, although she does not specifically state that. She says that her polling organization makes their assumptions based only on data.

Gives an example about first caucus in 2008.

Regarding Joe stuck in there at the last minute--he has no legs!

Maybe it's symbolic--the old expression "has no legs" means "has no staying power."
