Elizabeth Warren: We can clean up corruption in Washington. We just have to fight to do it.
Universal child care, and free college, and Medicare for All all of it can be all done, improving lives for millions of Americans.

People in Iowa and across America feel it in their bones: Our democracy has been hijacked by the rich and powerful.
You can see it in these past three years of cruelty and criminality under Donald Trump and in the preceding four decades of stagnant wages, rising costs and diminishing opportunity. The most powerful people in our society have used money and influence to make Washington work for them and leave everyone else behind.
Its corruption, pure and simple. Im running for president to do something about it.
And heres the good news: Around Iowa and around this country, Democrats, independents and Republicans are united in their desire to clean up corruption in Washington and build an economy with more growth, more opportunity and more freedom.
Thats our path to beat Donald Trump in 2020. We will beat the most corrupt president in American history by campaigning on the most aggressive anti-corruption platform since Watergate. We will beat a president who has enriched himself and his rich buddies by campaigning on big, structural changes that ensure the economy works for everyone.

(8,361 posts)Its the powerful lobby cretins. Same with pharmaceutical lobby, and we look back at the Reagan era, we're still destroying workers rights in 2020. Can you imagine losing your job because you can't work at full capacity at UPS due to pregnancy? Yea, well that one shocked me too.
ENOUGH!

(11,868 posts)Looking into corruption from this administration after Democrats retake the Senate and the Presidency, and all members of Congress that are taking funneled money from Putin, the prince , and Chinese, and organized crime. I would trust Senator Warren's ability to get that done. Others not to much. trump and his family, and republicans should be held accountable, and fully exposed, and have consequences or it'll only escalate. They on the other hand refuse to hold their own accountable anymore since trumps corrupted them more.

(112,382 posts)They go hand in hand.
Warren and Katie Porter know EXACTLY where the corruption is and how to change the system. That is why they are so disliked by the financial elite and their organized political groups that control DC.

(11,868 posts)And yes Katie Porter is another one capable of uncovering and going after them . That's also why they have organized groups targeting Senator Warren on anything she does now. They're scared of her because of her intelligence, and tenacity.
