That was a good debate.

I think that each and every candidate on stage tonight demonstrated that they be superior president than Trump. That should be obvious to each and every Democrat watching the debate. None of these candidates is "perfect," and every voter will not have their first choice nominated. But there is every reason to be confident that we will have a strong and capable ticket in November.

The only question, in my opinion, is how far we are all willing to go to win the White House? What that translates to, again in my opinion, is if we as individuals are willing to focus on why the candidate we support is the best option. What are her/his strengths, what policy differences she/he may have with other candidates, and how she/he is the strongest candidate for the fifty state elections that combine to make the presidential race.

That's how we keep our eyes on the prize. The other things are distractions that lack the ability to benefit the Democratic Party's ticket in 2020.

Peace,

Biden and Steyer remained about the same. Bernie went down.

I do wish there was more discussion about NATO, Russia and Election interference.

Yelling and thumping the podium. I find it an annoying habit and If I am speaking I try to be aware of where the mike is, but if you find it more "authentic" the more power to you.

Trump does it all the time, and his supporters love the angry, old yelling guy routine, so I concede that some people like rage.

For example, in an exchange with Biden and Amy, Bernie just looked like he was seething that they contradicted and said that his plan would cost trillions of dollars when he expressly declined to offer an estimate.

He is being coy about the price, yet he looks like he is going to have an aneurism simply because Biden and Amy say the people deserve to know.

It seems that you are just posting emojis, but can you actually discuss or respond substantively?

Feel free to post most responsive emojis, because I just want to make the point that a lot of Bernie posts are just pushing talking points and did not even watch the debate.

I encourage folks to watch the exchange regarding the cost of Medicare for All. It says a lot about temperament.

Spamming emojis is no substitute for facts. I am happy to discuss.

I wish that you both would re-read the OP. There is zero benefit accrued by saying negative things about any of the candidates in the primary. Focus instead upon what you like about one or more of the others.

I will add that I'm a grumpy old man. If I can make an effort to be positive, anyone and everyone can.

I've voted in every election since I was old enough to vote. Primaries, too, of course. But I am not supporting any candidate this time, as I would have no problem supporting any one of them.

is that the candidates are so good that virtually any one of them will be a very good President. That much we are already guaranteed. That in itself is an incredibly strong incentive to feel hopeful. It follows logically that when voters feel more hopeful they will be much more likely to vote. No Democrat will have to hold their nose to vote.

I’m undecided because I like all the candidates so I can wait until one is nominated, but I will talk to people about just getting out there and voting.

As a woman though, I have to admit though, that Elizabeth Warren is looking really good, and I’m thinking it sure would be great to have a woman President.

But I’m staying out of the Democratic Primary forum as much as I can!

no matter who it is. I do not favor any one of them, and really do like each one of them.

It's long past time for a female president. And because Trump is such a sexist asswipe, it would be delightful to see him get his flabby white ass kicked by a woman if he makes it to November. I've enjoyed every second of Speaker Pelosi humiliate him, of course, but would really enjoy that in an election.

the primaries, vote with your heart. In the general, vote with your head. Rachel Maddow said it on her show one night and it really rung a bell with me because I have always voted in this manner.
