Winners and Losers From The CNN Iowa Democratic Debate 😁

With a field of just six candidates on the stage, everyone got time to talk, but some candidates shined while a few stumbled at the CNN Iowa Democratic debate...

Winners:

1). Joe Biden – After a rough first couple of debates, Joe Biden has gotten better with each debate performance. Biden absolutely shined on the foreign policy questions. The debate did nothing to hurt Joe Biden’s status as the top Democrat in the race and the candidate who is most likely to amass the most delegates. Biden is the candidate who looks the most general election ready, and he is benefitting from the Democratic candidates not attacking each other. Biden is still in the running to win Iowa, and if he wins Iowa, he will be tough to stop.

Not this one. He was subdued, but won by default. As frontrunner, he has only got to hold his own. Other than his disastrous performance in June, which took his polling to under 30% on average, his debate performances have had little impact on the race.

the usual down trotting against VP Biden is obviously the meme. Nice to see some positives. Others in the family watch it and said it was ok the overall debate . . .

Amy Klobuchar is so condescending toward the progressive side of the party. Does she want to turn people off? Her comments of pipe dream & reality check is insulting. I thought she was by far the worst person on the stage.

I thought Warren had a good night. Maybe the best of the bunch.

I thought Pete was really good.

This might be crazy but I thought Tom Steyer was pretty good.

Bernie was pretty good also.

If I had to rate preference I would go:

1. Warren
2. Pete
3. Bernie
4. Steyer
5. Biden
6. Klobuchar

I want to add there is a big gap between 5 & 6. Biden wasnt awful he was just kind of there. He played it safe as he should. He is the front runner. He just doesnt need to lose votes. Just mantain and not make a mistake.

"Tough to stop" doesn't cover it. Barring mishaps, we can put down the glasses.
