The party has been shrinking. Making someone's status as an official Democrat a big negative isn't going to help anything. Would you rather the 2nd place candidate stay an independent permanently and run 3rd party when independents are around 41% of the electorate? Being too exclusionary to left wing independents is a recipe for disaster.

and until recently I actually DID appreciate him. If anything, my bias would be more for Bernie, not against him, but what I'm seeing now is changing my long held favorable opinion of him.

I didn't support Bernie for president in 2016, because I didn't see him suited for that role, but I still held a high regard for him. Any changes in my opinion is because of the way he and his staff are running his campaign. I am beyond disappointed.

Given what's at stake, these particular lies are especially pernicious and potentially evil in their impact. He is trying to push policies that will help working people from health care to stopping wars and everything in between. He has shined a light on income inequality like no else.

Warren did long before she was a Senator. You don't just shine a light on something, you DO something about it. Talking and lights shining is not the same as actions.

If she’s closer to winning than Bernie when the NE primary rolls around, I’ll gladly vote for her but the fact that he voted against the Iraq War counts for a lot with me.

We would all be lucky if he were to win.

That takes a degree of character to be attacked by powerful figures in the political class, opinion makers, monied interests and somehow get stronger along the way.

I love Bernie for obvious reasons. I worried initially about his health and electability and briefly supported another candidate, but now I simply don't care. Bernie's the only candidate I feel passionately about and I don't care what anyone thinks.

If the election of Dotard has proven anything it's that this country is in a state of crisis. People are angry and desperate. The level of economic and social injustice that exists in our society is something we should all be alarmed over. Radical change is needed and Bernie is the best candidate by far IMO to facilitate that change.

I'll leave it at that because, as you astutely noted, this isn't exactly the most welcoming place for Bernie and his supporters.

Compared to candidates Biden and Warren, Bernie is consistent and honest. Much like Dennis Kucinich, even right-wingers will admit that Bernie has integrity.

what those who DO take corporate bribes think of him. That is why "nobody(meaning CEO's , wealthy donors, and DC elite) likes him". He makes them look bad by example. I will support somebody who doesn't accept corporate donations over somebody who does any day of the week.

and plus I am a poor man I can't afford obamacare, I need medicare 4 all!
