(22,998 posts)She's a definite leftist and has accomplished some good things over her career fighting corruption and the like. Before running for Congress (and losing) she did surprisingly well running in a primary for Gov against Andrew Cuomo here in NY. Since losing for Congress she also lost a primary in a Democratic Primary for Attorney General. She had the NY Times endorsement for that race.
So she's not a fringe player but she's not mainstream either. I had generally positive feelings about her before though I thought her career as a candidate herself was over. I am not happy with the OP she wrote attacking Biden however. My feelings about her now are decidedly mixed
