Bloomberg catches Mayor Pete at RCP Polls!

Last edited Thu Jan 23, 2020, 07:47 PM - Edit history (1)

According to RCP Polls, Bloomberg and Mayor Pete are now tied at 7.7% polling average.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/us/2020_democratic_presidential_nomination-6730.html

It's the battle of the Mayors!

New York City experience versus South Bend experience.

Self-financed Billionaire campaign versus Wine Cave Donors.

How exciting!

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

A Billion dollars that is.

More likely the Mayor Pete campaign will continue losing air.

After Iowa and New Hampshire, Bloomberg will swamp out Mayor Pete in the delegate counts.

Bloomberg is flooding the Super Tuesday states with very good, very Democratic adds and he's gaining traction.

Mayor Pete has had an nice debut on the national stage, but it's curtains soon for his opening act, so to speak.

Note: oh, you edited your post. Good move. Bloomberg is in it to stay.

I think without being able to gain momentum in Iowa and NH Bloomberg will fall aside.

I don't think Pete will be able to stay above water by then either though.

Nope.

He's rising in the polls and isn't part of the circular firing squad.

But he is not going to be a factor for long. Remind me who the last candidate was to win a nomination without competing in every state or standing on a debate stage.

He is putting effort in the early states that count. A big roll-up by him in California and Texas on Super Tuesday cancels everything before then. He is investing big in both states, and is investing big in Florida, which comes the month after ST. If Bloomberg goes into the southern primaries competitive, he resets the table for the race.

It would be intruiging to see a financial savvy, news formation savvy, true billionaire debating Trump. He would take Trump's claims about the health of the economy and smear them like shit on Trump's face. At some point, if Bloomberg resets the table in March and April, the aspect of HIM facing Trump will become very appealing.

he's running a populist campaign, as in appealing to resentment, victimization syndrome, antagonism against almost everyone but their prospective leader, which means he's drawing from Sanders.
