(34,857 posts)I'm guessing that won't be any different this go around.
Hillary did win the Iowa Caucus (barely) and won the endorsement. But before that, Bush in 2000 was the last Democrat or Republican to win the endorsement and actually win the caucus.

(34,195 posts)With the 2020 Iowa caucus just over one week away, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has another favorable Iowa poll under his belt one in which hes leading the field by 7 percentage points.
A new New York Times/Siena College poll, taken between January 20-23 and released Saturday, shows Sanders winning 25 percent of the vote in Iowa.

(65 posts)This is a very good choice and it comes with a very thoughtful justification by the Des Moines Register.
"Those ideas are not radical. They are right. They would improve life in America, and they are generally shared by the other Democratic candidates, who bring their own strengths to this race."

(13,776 posts)That sounds snarky because not everyone is congratulating her, but I mean it.
In the long run were all on the same side and we will sink or swim together. Its nice to see a little bit of that comity and unity we had at the beginning of the primary season.
