Let's look at the electoral track record of the Bernie coalition

In 2018, when running in GOP-held districts:

Our Revolution went 0–27
Justice Democrats went 0–18
Brand New Congress went 0–6.

Bernie Sanders not only hurts us in the Presidential election... but candidates that explicitly are with him failed to flip a single House seat in 2018.

We are looking at a Corbyn-style thumping across the board if we are foolish enough to nominate Sanders.

MODERATES flipped 39 of the 41 House seats that we won. We control the House specifically because moderates appealed to suburban whites who turned on the GOP and Trump.

We will keep those voters if we nominate Biden or Klobuchar. We will lose them if we nominate Sanders or Warren.

A Bernie nomination might give the House back to the GOP too. A disaster in the making.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

Wikipedia has 7 for 79 overall for JD endorsements (still quite low), then notes the 7 were D seats. So for flipping seats, your zero number holds up. (Just checking. I immediately thought AOC, but should have realized that was a solid D seat so not counted for your stats.)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_Democrats

In the 2018 elections, 26 of the 79 candidates endorsed by Justice Democrats won their respective primary elections. Seven of these candidates won in the general election: Raúl Grijalva, Ro Khanna, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Pramila Jayapal. All seven won districts already held by Democrats. Khanna and Jayapal were both first elected in 2016 before joining Justice Democrats, and Grijalva was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2002.

Which is obviously true. I still like him, it's just a plain fact that he doesn't have as strong a record on Social Security as Bernie.

My old posts, yeah I've been around since almost the start of DU. 2000 was my first election, I'm still mad at Nader. And I'm still against purity tests and stupid attacks against Democrats.

I was for Obama 08 and Clinton 16. I see a lot of similarities between Clinton 16 and Sanders 20, in the way that there seems to be a wave of unhinged hatred against them. It's odd, because they are different kinds of candidates. But the stuff people do where they try to dig up any silly association or take any little thing out of context to attack the candidate. They did it to Clinton in 16, and they're doing it to Bernie now.

Like, Clinton was a "neoliberal shill" because she was friends with someone who once worked with a Republican, or whatever. Or now, Bernie is some "racist" because his wife tweeted a video made by a guy who a decade ago made a parody video using MLK. That kind of silly hate-based attack on Democrats does nothing but help Republicans, it was true in 16, and it's true now.
