'Electability' is at the top of people's priorities when selecting who they will vote for in the primary. Up to this point, a big argument for Joe Biden has been that he's performing best in hypothetical GE matchups with Trump. But over the last few weeks, there have been a handful of GE polls showing Bernie as being the strongest candidate against Trump, and I suspect that will continue. If people are deciding on who to vote for in the primary based on which candidate has the best chance to beat Trump, they need to know where candidates stand in GE polls even if those polls are bound to change once the nominee has been chosen.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

However, that was not the case a couple months ago when Biden was clearly in front. Bernie has gained ground, on average, in every national and state poll since December. That is a trend backed up by hard data and cannot be ignored.

Something similar is happening this time also. It's not just this one poll. Sometimes Sanders polls better against Trump than Biden, more often Biden has polled better than Sanders against Trump. But the differences are usually minor, and almost always Biden and Sanders are the top performers against Trump regardless of their order. National polls fluctuate but that has been consistent. Sanders may or may not match up best against Trump currently, but the media is full of representatives of the status quo screaming that "Socialist" Sanders would get butchered by Trump. They avoid using data to say so, it is always their "opinion".

Bernie was the overwhelming favorite of the 18-29 age group which is the least likely to vote. The crosstabs also indicated a lead for Sema Hernandez in the U.S. Senate race among that age group. Hernandez was handily defeated by Beto O'Rourke in the 2018 Senate race.

Texas Lyceum only conducts one poll per year and it is not known for being accurate. It predicted Clinton with 39% and Trump with 35% among registered voters in the 2016 general election.

In the real world. Joe Biden is the only candidate who has a chance of flipping Texas. sanders and socialism are toxic in Texas. If sanders is the nominee, we will have no chance of picking up seats In Texas

Joe Biden
