So, let me get this straight: The DNC is rigging the system against Bernie by ... helping Bloomberg?

Shouldn't it be Biden who's the most upset here? How is this rigging the system against Bernie when the DNC lifting its donor requirements is going to put up a moderate Bloomberg on stage - literally Biden's biggest moderate threat?

I mean, this is bat-shit conspiracy stuff, folks. Or it's Bernie just whining for whining sake, because having Bloomberg on stage actually HELPS him, since the two aren't likely going after the same voter demographics.

But whatever. I guess anything to complain about a rigged system in a party you don't even claim to be a member of.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

24. NBC - Donald Trump's 'Rigged Election' Claims Raise Historical Alarms
Sat Feb 1, 2020, 02:01 AM
Feb 2020

It seems like Bernie is still copying Trump's playbook. Talking about favorable polls. Attack Democrats. Complain about media bias. Complain that the election process is rigged.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/donald-trump-s-rigged-election-claims-raise-historical-alarms-n667831

As Donald Trump's campaign falters, his warnings that the presidential contest will be rigged have become a focus of his pitch to voters.

Historians say Trump's sustained effort to call the process into question has no close parallel in past elections. And some are increasingly worried that his claims — for which he's offered no real evidence — could leave many of his supporters unwilling to accept the election results, potentially triggering violence and dangerously undermining faith in American democracy.

Day after day — at rallies, in interviews and on Twitter — Trump and several top backers have hammered the message that a victory for Hillary Clinton would be illegitimate. Trump has frequently suggested that widespread voter fraud will swing the election, and he has urged his supporters to closely monitor the voting process.

In a tweet Monday, he declared that there's "large-scale voter fraud happening on and before election day." In fact, numerous studies have shown that in-person voter fraud is vanishingly rare.

Whether it helps or hurts Bernie is arguable, but that's not the point. When other candidates like Booker and Tulsi asked for debate rule changes so they could appear, the DNC said no. But now they change the rules for a billionaire who supported George W Bush.

There were no exceptions earlier.

Bloomberg could have dropped 20 million into New Hampshire and won a single delegate, which would have got him into the debates. Instead, he spent $ in the Super Tuesday states. That was his decision.

Bloomberg should not get special rules just for him.

You're right, Bloomberg's presence hurts Biden more than it hurts Sanders.

I suppose the reason Sanders is against changing the rules so a billionaire can compete is simply because (being Bernie) he just thinks it's wrong. Not every position someone takes must be out of personal self-interest. He's against people buying their way onto the stage, that's who he is, and he'll complain about it, even if he'd be the beneficiary of it.

Sat Feb 1, 2020, 06:48 AM
Feb 2020

The individual contribution limit is $2,700 per election. Bernie has drawn up a pledge (ROFL) which he is demanding other candidates sign, limiting persons working in wide swaths of healthcare industry to $200.00. He knows he isn't going to get shit from them, he's trying to take away their jobs. And you know they're going to fight him for their jobs and contribute to his opponents. So he tries to make his own rules to benefit himself. Whither that principle here?

Manbun mob descends dancing to the tune of Bernie's principal flute: "Why ACA Biden take filthy lucre of evil for-profit?" "Hypothetical M4A the true way."
