Rep Tlaib apologizes to Secretary Clinton

Rashida Tlaib ✔@RashidaTlaib

“In this instance, I allowed my disappointment with Secretary Clinton's latest comments about Senator Sanders and his supporters get the best of me. You all, my sisters-in-service on stage, and our movement deserve better. (3/4)

“I will continue to strive to come from a place of love and not react in the same way of those who are against what we are building in this country. This is about building a just and equitable future for my two boys, children across the country, and future generations." (4/4)

It struck me as being insincere and passive-aggressive. I'm reminded of the "I'm sorry you were offended" political non-apologies that we hear so often. Obviously, those weren't the words used, but I feel like it came from the same place of pride rather than being contrite or feelings of heartfelt regret or remorse. Sigh.

All I'm saying is that it was a disappointment both times. The follow-up didn't really help. I just think we should demand more from our elected leaders.

I have some sympathy for her with Bill’s philandering in the news so much these days between Epstein and the impeachment.

However, her lashing out to hurt one of our top candidates is beyond petty and selfish... and being classy would lead her to apologize for those very personal attacks that have ginned up division in the party from those old wounds. She knows better and is doing this intentionally. She is wading in to mess up his chances, and she and those who jump back into this divisive drama are creating more problems that could really hurt the party. If she cares about the party she should apologize. We don’t need anyone on either side of this staying home.

“I will continue to strive to come from a place of love and not react in the same way of those who are against what we are building in this country."

Hillary said nothing about what he was trying to "build"

“All the way up until the end, a lot of people highly identified with his campaign were urging people to vote third party, urging people not to vote,” Mrs. Clinton said in an interview with Emily Tisch Sussman for her podcast “Your Primary Playlist.” “It had an impact.”

* Some settling of contents may have occurred during shipment.
* Batteries not included.

And it seems as if there's a lot of these attacks from those around Bernie, with many instances being outright lies.
It's disheartening to me in that I never disliked Bernie, he was just not my top choice. This type of stuff makes me distrust the campaign.
I will support the nominee no matter who however. I just won't feel great about Bernie's campaign tactics if he ends up being the nominee.

Then, she can read it on the floor of the House, so that maybe people could learn something.

At least she apologized.
