I have no problem with this, honestly. It breaks up the monotony for the audience and the candidate too, gives many something to laugh at, doesn't seem mean-spirited.

Much better than protestors screaming about stuff which only serves to alienate voters from their cause, whether it's a worthwhile one or not. Imo.

8. Thread from ABC's Molly Nagle explaining the interruption was by a "comedy duo":
Sat Feb 1, 2020, 01:54 PM
Feb 2020

Tweets, with video, start here, full text below:

In a odd moment during @JoeBiden
’s remarks, a man stands up & asks Biden for advice on how to get his wife back who recently left him.

Biden says he will spend time with him after, but when he refuses to sit, Biden says “I’m beginning to see why you’re wife left you.”

Another interruption at @JoeBiden
’s event—this time a man stands up wearing a “Settle for Biden” t-shirt and gets immediate boos from the crowd.

Biden jokes he thought Republicans were kidding when they said they’re sending 80 surrogates, & says “Give us back your Joe shirt!”

It appears the men who interrupted Biden are a Comedy duo called “The Good Liars” and had interrupted @AndrewYang
a few days ago.

Important to note—it didn’t appear people in the room found either interaction particularly comical.

The Irish cousins of former Vice President Joe Biden have called in a family favor this week to bring the Irish American politician back to his ancestral home of Mayo for a sod-turning ceremony. Biden, who has Irish roots in Ballina, Co. Mayo, and in Co. Louth, will preside over the official ground-breaking ceremony of the new Mayo Roscommon Hospice unit where one of his Irish cousins works.
