(113,660 posts)These are everyday people trying to check/double check tallies. Small precincts are one thing, but the larger areas and the larger caucuses get really complicated and that would be even more so with Iowa's more complicated system
It is not like a primary election.
I'm just going to say that those who are trying to imply something nefarious going on should just STOP IT!

I have seen this before. Because this is generally a volunteer-led effort, the skill level for making sure things are followed correctly can vary dramatically. This can (and does) result in inconsistencies being applied, even within a given precinct.
I really saw this back in 2008 when Obama was running. His campaign group was very enthusiastic but short on experience in my precinct. We were a lot of "newbies" to the process at the time. The party people and the older HRC voters were very patient and thorough. We actually came out better because of the rules being explained and a better precinct for it. And, yes I was one of those who went with Obama at the time. A lot of respect and love for my neighbors.
