I think they grossly underestimated turnout and the number of viable candidates.

Most precincts that have reporters with them are reporting attendance numbers smaller than they predicted.

More likely it’s incompetence. I think they were trying new “in-depth” statistical reporting and they’re in over their heads. I wish them well.

This ain’t rocket science. You are literally counting noses in each viable group. There is a bit of math to figure out what percent of allowed delegates each group receives from that precinct but that can be done on a hand held calculator in a few minutes.
