Caucuses are terrible. They suppress the vote - especially if you are poor, lack transportation, or can’t be there before the doors close. Worse yet, they look nothing like democracy.

My state had a caucus and thankfully doesn’t anymore. The usual excuse for holding one is they are far cheaper to put on than an election - but with the money that flows into Iowa - they should be able to afford a real election including early and absentee ballots.
